Yes, an entire week of clear sky in December, no fog, no clouds, no wind, just clear, and cold.
We've not seen any rain since around the first of December, just clear cold days which have been a joy. We did set a new record this past week: on Wednesday the 9th it was 7 degrees, 100 degrees colder than July 29th when we reached a record 107 degrees! The first 100 degree temperature swing recorded in the Snoqualmie Valley in one year.
The great weather allowed us time this past week to do some early winter clean up. Thanks to the NCCC Americorps Blue 7 team who volunteered 40 hours of time to the effort, we made a significant dent in storm debris cleanup. It was estimated we picked up and piled over 4800 pounds of branches, fallen trees, and other debris. Great work Blue 7, I could not have done it without you!
The cold temperatures have not caused us any plumbing problems; we leave water dripping and have drained buildings not being used right now. This will make bringing everything back online go really quick, so don't let the cold weather stop you from coming out to Valley Camp to enjoy a getaway, we can be ready for you in a matter of minutes.
Enjoy the Christmas Season, may the true Spirit of Christmas fill your heart with joy and peace.
Teena and I wish for you a Wonder-Filled and Blessed Christmas.
Pax Domini Sit Semper Vobiscum
