Basic Camp Info

For the safety of our wildlife and your pet, pets can not run free at camp or on the surrounding trails. If your pet does come to camp with you it must be on a leash at all times, and connected to its human; we require you to have control of your pet at all times, this includes barking, please realize many people come to Valley Camp because it is so peaceful and quiet; please remember not everyone will love your pet like you do. For everyones safety your pet will need to sleep inside your RV, tent or car at night but not inside our facilities and remember we require you clean up after your pet, this includes food, so that we don't develop problems with the wild animals.

You as the guest help keep Valley Camp in pristine condition by cleaning up both facilities and grounds at the end of your stay with us. This helps keep our costs down and camp looking pristine. The way you found the camp was the way the last group left it, please pass the courtesy forward.

We teach and practice the 'Leave No Trace' wilderness ethic, come to think of it, this is not a bad ethic to carry with you everywhere you go.

For those wondering, our old barn is still standing, renovations were about to begin in 2009, but this was postponed due to the emergency flood repairs that were completed on roads, trails and the main house in early 2009. We still have plans to move forward with renovations as soon as we have met our phase one fundraising goal of $50,000 to begin this big project. When this project is complete we will have a wonderful historic indoor gathering space for groups to use. If you are interested in a tour stop in at the office and we'll be glad to show you the inside now that it is cleaned out and ready to begin renovations. If in your youth, you carved your name or initials in the beams or barn boards, we'll help you find them.

Tenting is available year round.

RV sites come with power (30 amp), water, sewer, free wireless and are winterized for year round use.

Valley Camp follows the WA DNR and US Forest Service regulations on fireworks and campfires. The regulation is NO fireworks, any time. When and if the fire danger reaches the extreme category, no open flames will be allowed. If you find there is no wood at the two fire rings here in camp, please ask about a camp fire, we will let you know what the fire danger is that day. Usually briquettes for barbecuing are allowed when fires are banned, please ask.

Firewood is cut and provided by volunteers. Please respect the work that has gone into your fire by burning wood only when you are there to enjoy it.

Quiet time is observed every night between 10PM and 7AM, you may enjoy your campfire after 10 PM but please with quiet voices so others may enjoy the peacefulness.
