Middle Fork Road Repairs

The USFS is planning on repairing and reopening the Middle Fork road above Taylor River this Fall

Repairs to the flood damaged Middle Fork road above the Taylor River bridge is slated to begin after Labor Day. When completed the road will once again be open to Dingford Creek. This will once again allow parking closer to the trailhead for many upper valley trails.

Plans regarding the upgrades to the Middle Fork road between Valley Camp and the Middle Fork Campground near Taylor river (10 miles up river form Valley Camp) will be available soon for public review. Please consider looking closely at these plans and make comments on the proposals set forth.

Valley Camp would like to see improvements made to the Middle Fork road, but as of yet don't know what they propose. Please become active in planning the future of the Middle Fork Valley.

The work to repair the road between Taylor river bridge and Dingford creek started the last week in October, lots of rock and large culverts are being hauled up the road so it looks like progress is being made.
