Birders rejoice, the spring flocks have returned to camp!
Finches, Grosbeaks, Towhee, Vireos, Swallows, Wrens, Hummingbirds, Hawks, Eagles, Owls, Sparrows, Jays, Woodpeckers, Buntings, Goldfinches, Chickadees, Tanagers, Blackbirds, Robins, creepers and cowbirds as well as the Raven and his buddies the pigeons have been visiting camp regularly this spring. The morning hours are full of activity and the day starts sounding like we are waking up in an aviary. Come enjoy the symphony I can guarantee it is very enjoyable!
If you go out and explore the trails and look carefully overhead, you will see the Northern Pygmy and the Northern Saw-whet owls along the trails if you look very carefully up in branches overhanging the trails. We see them often and enjoy listening to their calls.
Camp is full of wildlife, come on out and enjoy this special place and all the wonders of creation.
